What is form-based data management? 

Form-based data management  is the process of exporting data collected through custom forms on the Cheetah platform into Excel or PDF formats, as well as importing data from external sources into the platform. It consolidates data entry, storage, transfer, and reporting workflows within a single platform.

When you upload an Excel file, the system analyzes the column headers and suggests automatic mappings to Cheetah form fields. You can approve the suggested mapping or adjust it manually. The mapping template is saved, so no further configuration is required for files in the same format.

PDF layouts are created using Cheetah’s template design tool. You can define logos, colors, fonts, and field placements, then map form fields to the template fields. Once defined, the template is automatically applied to every export. Multiple templates can be defined for different form types.

The system performs data validation before the import begins. Missing mandatory fields, format inconsistencies, or duplicate records are flagged line-by-line, and an error report is generated. You can re-upload after fixing the erroneous rows or proceed by importing only the valid records.

Yes. You can export only the specific records you need by filtering by date range, status, assignee, category, or any other form field. Filtered exports can be saved as templates for recurring reporting processes.
